Tall-Tale Story Line
We're Already There
|
Biography: Having finally resurfaced, after nearly 2 and a half years, Mazarin brings to you what will surely be remembered as Quentin Stoltzfus' most climactic record to date. We're Already There is a stream-lined effort of hopeful pop melodies scouring the immortal subjects of oblivion, innocence, hindsight, faith and promise. First pieced together and finally recorded in Philadelphia at both Brian McTear's MinerStreetCycleSound and Quentin's Blair Studios, We're Already There was a project nearly two years in the making. Its primary players are Quentin Stoltzfus, Sean Byrne (who has played drums on all three Mazarin records), Brian McTear for additional instrumentation and production, and Mickey Walker on bass, as well as special appearences by Kurt Heasley (Lilys), Don Devore (Icarus Line), and Walter Martin (The Walkmen).
The band has toured steadily in support of the record since it's August release with comrades The Walkmen, Apollo Sunshine, Soundteam, Rogue Wave, and others and will continue touring both the U.S. and Europe in the New Year.
Here's what the people that write about music have been saying about Mazarin's new record:
